Title My First Quidditch Game II
Dannie Leppendor (Gryffindor captain) grabbed the Quaffle, moving out of the way of a Bludger just in time. She scored 10 points for Gryffindor, and Guillaume Mofiar (Gryffindor chaser) gave her a hi-five.
Makenzie Fellerton (Gryffindor chaser) scored another 10 points, throwing it into Slytherin's highest hoop.
'Yes!' I exclaimed.
But in Makenzie's excitement, she didn't see a black Bludger whizzing towards her arm. She screamed and fell with her broom.
I was worried now. We only had two chasers.
Luckily, Gileade Wissinger (Gryffindor keeper) hadn't seen Makenzie fall. She was much too nice and kind-hearted to stay up there as keeper when a fellow student was in pain 50 feet below her.
Soon, after Slytherin had scored 30 points, the Snitch appeared. I zoomed after it, hoping I wouldn't draw the attention of Stephen Cruse (Slytherin seeker), but he eventually caught up with me, giving me a shove.
We followed the Snitch straight downward. I looked over at Stephen. He looked worried. I looked back where the Snitch was, and could see why. We were going to crash into the ground! I glued my eyes to the Snitch. I wasn't going to give up. Not now.
The Snitch changed direction quickly. Too quick for Stephen who whammed hard into the ground. I couldn't help but laugh. Stephen had caused me to have many lumps, scars, and bruises when the professors weren't around.
I followed the Snitch higher and higher until I was pretty sure I was far beyond the 50 feet I was supposed to be at.
I tipped one of the Snitch's silver wings, it flew a bit faster, just out of my reach. Without thinking, I scooted up on my broom. A bit too far. I slid off, somehow somersaulted in the air, and next thing I knew, I was hanging onto my broom with one hand.
I saw the Snitch right in front of me. I reached out, it moved back. I grabbed it. Now that I had caught the Snitch, I had to get up on my broom with it in my free hand. I crammed it in between my teeth, and it shot back into my mouth. With it tickling my tongue and trying hard not to laugh for fear of losing it, I swung myself onto my broom and flew down. I spit the Snitch out and held it high for everyone to see. I heard loud cheers from all the houses except Slytherin whose faces had darkened and looked disappointed. I smiled and almost cried. It was one of the most scariest and best days of my life.
