Topic The Mirror of Erised
Title You don't need money to have friends...
I found myself looking into a mirror, but not any mirror, the mirror of Erised. I mean, it was wonderful. I saw EVERYTHING I longed for, but deep down inside I knew i would never be able to have anything like it. While looking into the mirror I saw myself leaning on a door where I saw piles and piles of galleons, sickles, and k'nuts. I was drooling at the site. My family could barely pay for me to go to Hogwarts. I have been going to Hogwarts for seven years, and it is now my last. My best friend Ron is the only person that knows of my families troubles. I am grateful for his care and concern. I learned from Ron that you most certainly DON'T need money to have friends. In our first year the exact words Ron said to me were ' Listen to me, Francheska, I know how you feel about not having much money. I am the exact same way, don't feel bad, I bet you have a wonderful famliy!'
Since then I don't care about me having much money, but every time I look into the stupid Mirror of Erised, I feel bad for my family because I begged them to let me go to Hogwarts. I am so lucky to have such a good friend as Ron Weasley, because he won over a ONE HUNDRED MILLION GALLEONS and begged me to take half of it. But, I am in his debt BIG time!!
Ron is letting me pay half of it by staying with him the rest of the summer along with Harry, and Hermione, and also by taking me to the Quidditch World Cup!! But I accepted and I still feel that I am in his debt.
I will never forget Ron, he is sweet, and caring. He is the best person and friend ANYONE could ever get. . .
